Well I had already played the demo so I was familiar with the controls etc. So far I'm enjoying it a lot and I wasn't actually expecting a 3DS game to be this good but it plays just as well as any console game. This game has a mixture of the old and new RE games. As far as the camera & shooting goes that's like RE5. But after exploring around looking for a key I came across a door with an anchor symbol, which was locked ofc, and it just reminded me of classic resi hehe. And I noticed on the map there was a storage box Bout time they brought that back. Haven't played too far in yet, prob about an hour but it's definitely worth getting imho.
I totally agree. It's pretty much a console game- I did not expect the campaign to be so long and the fact it is in episodes is just perfect!
Exactly! I've not yet finished the game but am very much enjoying it - it had a great horror element and it's lovely to play as Jill again! Raid Mode is a lot of fun too.
SPOILER The battle with Rachel seemes to be scary (I only saw the video, should be scary to play it), she's red, screaming and you never know when she'll come out of a shaft...

SPOILER ALERT! One thing I thought was kinda weird with the game is how they jump around with the story. Like you start off playing as Jill when you arrive at the ship, then next part there's a flashback to before the ship where you're on a beach. When episode 2 starts and you're playing as Chris, then you go back to Jill... Lol see what I mean by jumping around? As far as Chris & Jill goes, Jill was trying to rescue Chris from the ship but then that ends up being a trap. So then Chris finds out Jill is on the ship so he goes to rescue her lol. Not only that but there's a terrorist group called Veltro, who are threatening to spread the T-Abyss virus.
I've watched until Chapter 5 and the game looks really nice. I think it's very well structured, especially when and episode ends in a cliffhanger and then you have to play with other characters so you can see what happened. I think RE6 will be structured like this, but over larger periods of time. By the way, the new hunters (chapter 5) look scary too...
I got it when it came out and have been playing it bit by bit mainly at night when i'm alone and with headphones to get the best experience out of it. Its pretty awesome the graphics are mind blowing and the game has had parts that made me jump and the raid mode is pretty fun too. I need some friends on the 3DS who play the game so i can raid with them
I've just finished Revelations and have to say it one of the best Resident Evil games I've ever played! There was fantastic gameplay, brilliant and deep characters, insightful and interesting back stories, great action and horror, survival and puzzles all intertwined with twists and turns galore! It was far better than 4 and 5 and the only RE game I enjoyed more was 3! The 3D was astonishing and I would actualy get the console just for this game if I didn't own one already!

Yeah I got it too. At midnight. It's definately pretty awesome, to say the least. Plays perfect, and the gameplay is also perfect. I guess I'm not far enough to see real zombies. I'm actually wanting to see those, instead I keep getting those stupid things with the tounge-mouth things...whatever those are. But yeah, 10/10 and I'm still playing.
It was a great game over all. The only RE game where all the Enemies are B.O.W's I guess... It was great and i keep playing Raid mode and im gonna re play the Story mode again. The only thing i didn't like about Revelations I guess would be Jill's voice. Its a new voice actress, Michelle Ruff who I've heard from animes and such but it doesn't suit Jill, it sounds bland and boring to be harsh... I miss Jill's real voice <3
Lol, the packaging creators have failed so much, some over people have got "Resident Evil: Revel!". Mine's alright, though.
What is Jill's real voice? For me it's between Heidi Anderson(REmake) and Patricia Ja Lee(UC, RE5), but I might go with Heidi. Just sounded real good I guess..."This is Jill...**** it's broken".
I liked the Jill voice, it sounded a lot darker- but yeah, would be better if they didn't change Jill's look and voice again.
